Except for the first introductory session, this feature is not included in the membership. The same goes for the Kids Klub child watch service. It’s there, but you’ll have to pay a bit more in your monthly membership fee in order make sure that the people watching your kids are getting paid properly. After being a member of an older gym which was going down the tube, the LA Fitness in Spring TX has been a breath of fresh air. I’m really glad that I signed up. It really has everything that you might need in order to get in shape.

Since signing up, I’ve been here at least 3 days p/week (if not more) and spend most of my time either working out on the weight machines or boosting my heart rate on the cardio training equipment. There’s a lot of different things to choose from, so as long as you do a minimal bit of planning in advance how your going to organize your workout, you shouldn’t ever get bored.

I’m not a big fan of team sports, so I’ve not really joined in on the whole basketball thing. It is there though and seems to be pretty busy throughout the day, so those who like that type of thing will be happy. I’m more inclined to spend time using the racquetball courts. There’s a lot of people there who play and you can just ask around and make a few new friends who’ll show you how to play if you don’t know the game well. It’s really great and full qualifies as a true workout if you ask me.

If there is a bit of a downside to joining this LA Fitness it would have to be the signup process. I was prepared for this in advance but many are not and it takes them by surprise. Plan on getting a lot of pressure from the person giving you the tour to get started TODAY. These people are like car salesmen. I guess they’ve learned over time that if someone leaves without signing up, there is a BIG chance they won’t bother to join, or will end up somewhere else. Same thing with selling cars. Sometimes, psychologically, people just need to look at a few places first and whatever place they are on at stop #3 when they’ve mentally decided they are going to actually make this purchase ends up being the place they join, not necessarily the place that offers the most value. In either case, just plan in advance to steel yourself to this type of thing if you are really just wanting to look and sleep on it. The rest of the staff seem bright and bushytale, so other than this one detractor, working out at the Spring, TX LA Fitness has been a great experience for me.
